The Plumstead Make Merry is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about the area and bringing the local community together.
We rely on the generosity of others to put the festival on each year, so any donations are welcomed. Even £1 donations could make a real difference and help keep the festival running.
Since starting in 1975, the festival has grown in size and popularity but since losing its council funding in 2011 as a result of central government cuts, has struggled to raise enough money to keep running.
In 2015, the ‘Save the Make Merry’ fundraising campaign was launched in a bid to preserve the future of the festival, and this is a campaign that is ongoing each year.
