NICKY DAVIES JUDD – As always the stewards were so dedicated, even when wet through! Go Plumstead!

Fahad Abdi, Grants Coordinator, East London Business Alliance – Funding was offered to this festival as it offered value for money by targeting thousands of people with what relatively was a small grant. From my visit it was very clear that the festival was bringing families in the SE18 post code together through the use of music, culture, food, sport, and health and well-being. It was great to see over 6000 people take part in activities. The festival was well organised with a range of engaging and really fun activities for young and old alike. Plumstead Make Merry Association has been stand out event on the East London Business Alliance’s Transformers Grants Programme funded by OLD.

Amie Samba, Run Fun Starz Ltd CEO – We delivered a Showcase Activity for the Plumstead Make Merry Festival for the second time and we found it to be a great way to engage the community. We put on sack, bean bag, skipping and egg & spoon races for everyone. The children really enjoyed it and the parents got involved too. It has been a pleasure to work with Sarah and the Plumstead Make Merry Team they have done so well to involve local organisations in the event. It attracted a huge crowd and the day put smiles on many people’s faces. We look forward to continuing making our contribution in forthcoming events.

Maria Freeman, member of ‘Plumstead Harmonies’ choir – I have been coming to the Make Merry for years. it was so nice to see lots of people enjoying themselves, from the very young to retired: it is a proper community festival catering for all ages and cultures and I’m very glad that it is back again. With the current economic situation we need more events held locally that are accessible to all of the community. We are very fortunate that there is a dedicated band of volunteers doing this so thank you to the committee and stewards etc that make it all happen.

Lisa Marie Langstead – The kids enjoyed it and had lots of fun.

Gina Potts – Had a lovely, lovely day today. I love the Plumstead Make Merry!

Trudy Mackie, member of the Aperture Woolwich Photographic Society – Brilliant day, what a wonderful community, great atmosphere, fab music, lovely generous people and spectacular smiles, not for the queen, not for the Olympics, just for the people, Plumstead Common and Greenwich people, brilliant!

Ann McIvor – Brilliant get- together, congrats to all the folk who work tirelessly to keep the ‘unity’ in community. Well done also to our very talented locals for providing fabulous entertainment. Great day, thank you!
