Could you help with the borough’s longest running community festival? On Saturday 11th June 2016, 5000 people will descend on Plumstead Common for a packed day of music, arts and activities that celebrate the history of the area and its diverse community. This unique festival is put together solely by volunteers and we need more people than ever to help ensure that the event is a success.
There are many ways to get involved in the Make Merry but we really need Event Stewards on the day to help with the smooth running of the event. From one hour to a full day, there is no limit to the length of time that you can volunteer. All help is appreciated!
Although you will be given a specific role depending on the length of time that you volunteer, we can be flexible if you have a particular interest in any aspect of the festival. We want to get as many people as we can involved in the Make Merry and create a truly special day for all.
All volunteers receive a letter of thanks, a certificate, and lunch on the day as well as the chance to enjoy the festivities and (hopefully) a lovely day in the sun!
